anew

i've done this thing about blogs before but it tapered off for two reasons: noone was reading it, and i ran out of stuff to write about. so today is easter monday and after browsing all the porn sites and entertainment sites and news sites (okay only CNN actually), i finally decided to add my voice to the world. i realised that i did love reading a lot of other people's (sane) musings [take note john mayer], but i had a lot of opinion kept to myself. i had an opinion about basically everything, from music to television etcetera. anything i absorbed through my senses i had an opinion about and it was killing me that all my disagreements with all those other less informed bloggers were swimming in my head without an outlet.

so i'm starting over today. and if you're reading this, please check in once in a while and drop even a syllable to encourage me to keep writing. like i say, even negative attention is better than no attention.

i should about something else but i need to keep my blog posts short and concise, so read the next blog post for some opinion. till later.

Look at this picture. That's one of the children being rescued from a collapsed school building in Lagos, Nigeria. You don't have a be a parent and I won't pander to your better instincts. Tell me this is acceptable or should be allowed to occur again. The President sent condolence messages and the Governor visited the site then said the state emergency services will do all they can cliched response. the end. and people moved on. The heartbreaking pictures of the children pulled out half dazed with cement dust all over their little noses (Exhibit A) did not let me sleep last night. I have gone to drop a comment on the governor's pages on all social media platforms that we need #MoreThanPlatitudes 🚫❌ We need to hear what policy changes are triggered by the death of these babies. The Commissioner of Education must address Lagosians and set up a project team with the Commissioner for Works or Town Planning etc to undertake an immediate structural integrity test
